First Impressions: In love with Koko

Good morning lovelies,

Yesterday my ‘In love with Koko’ set arrived from Kylie Cosmetics.

They are Beaut!

Everything from the packaging to the selection of colours.

It came in white and rose gold packaging which was glittery (helloooo rose gold and glitter – the way to a girls heart… or purse strings).

On to the colours and finishes.

So this collection compromises of;

Bunny – Matte Liquid Lipstick which is a cool tone mauve

Doll– Matte Liquid Lipstick which is a bright orange toned red

Baby Girl
– Matte Liquid Lipstick which is a warm but muted coral shade.

Sugar Plum
– Gloss which is a shimmering nude

L- R Sugar plum, Bunny, Doll and Baby Girl.

Watch this space for better swatches !

I can’t wait to try them all out and show you.

First Impressions: Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance

Morning lovelies,

So on Thursday my letterbox went and I ran downstairs and collected my ABH Modern Renaissance Palette.

I ordered this from Cult Beauty at £41 and I am so in love.

I mean look how beautiful it is ❤️

I have swatched these below (sorry about the quality it doesn’t do them justice)

These are such beautiful shadows and a mix of matte and shimmers. These are really pigmented and a little does a long way.

My favourites are Vermeer, Primavera, Antique bronze and love letter.

I am soooo looking forward to creating some looks with this!

Has anyone else got this palette ?

I’ll keep you updated.

Sarah Kay xoxo

May Favourites 🌺

Hi Guys,

So I have many many many faves so I’ve narrowed it down to 5.

❤️ Urban Decay All Nighter Liquid Foundation RRP £29

Ok so this is my holy grail foundation. I cannot live without this and don’t know how I coped without it in the face place. This is a full coverage, matte finish and waterproof foundation. This lasts all day on my skin and I don’t have to touch it up.

💛 Kylie Cosmetics Koko K Matte Lipkit $29

This is my go to lipstick for day and night. I love the pink and it’s super versatile – meaning I can wear it for work too. This lasts a long time on the lips with minimal transfer.

💚 Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick in Beige £35

This is one of my more recent purchases and I am so in love. I use this as a highlighter and not a bronzer. This shimmer brick is versatile and some of the colours could be pretty as eyeshadow.

💙 Spectrum Collection brushes

This is a consistent choice. I love my brushes. I love this brand. I just looooooovvvveee them ❤️❤️❤️

💜 Kiss California Nails

Ok I love a good false nail to add length and prettiness and these certainly have both ❤️ they are flexible and long lasting and although on the expensive side well with it !

Urban Decay Liquid Moondust

Hi Guys,

I just had to show you my latest purchase.

Urban Decays Liquid Moondust in Chem Trail

This is a super versatile colour to satisfy your need for all things glittery and sparkly. It’s creamy to the touch when you apply and when it’s dry it’s dry to the touch and difficult to budge. Which means this beauty won’t crease!

I cannot wait to try this out properly.

The Gypsy Shrine

Summer brings festivals and festivals mean upping the makeup game. So what better way to up the glam than with glitter and jewels.

Yes for me festivals means bringing out the inner mermaid and unicorn. It means glitter, jewels and unbelieveble lengths to make it stick.

I recently came across The Gypsy Shrine http://www.thegypsyshrine.com/shop/ who have the most amazing – think Aladdins Cave – collection of jewels and glitter to create the perfect look.

I ordered the dark unicorn glitter £6.50, the chunky silver glitter £6.50, midnight aura face jewel £8 and the night fever face jewel £7.

Let me know if you have any tips.

Lime Crime Velvetines

As a lipstick junkie I have always wanted to try Lime Crimes Liquid Lipsticks.

I ordered two and had high expectations from this cult brand.  They were £16 each.

Lime Crime Cult Beauty

As I’m in the U.K. I ordered mine from cult beauty as they are a USA beauty brand.

“The original liquid matte lipstick inspired by rose petals

The liquid matte that started it all. Conceptualized and developed by Lime Crime CEO Doe Deere, Velvetines draw inspiration from her favorite flower – a red, red rose. Doe used to cut out rose petals and paste them onto her lips as a child. Richly pigmented, French vanilla-infused formula glides on as a liquid and dries down to a luxurious, velvety matte finish that lasts for hours and hours. Touch-proof, kiss-proof and utterly addictive!” – Lime Crime

On the left is Teddy which is a deep red and on the right is Cashmere which is a grey hue.

The first thing you notice is how runny it is. It is water like and when I first tried to apply it I struggled. I’ve found the best way is to pick up a lip liner brush and line your lips first and then fill it in with their applicator brush.

It can be quite drying so I would advise so lip balm about half about before applying. There was no transfer and it did last although after a few drinks it had started to fade and come off. Overall I’m quite happy with these. I will definitely buy more. My favourite is Cashmere at the moment.

Have you got any colours you think I should try ?Cashmere Teddy

Tropical Butterfly House and Wildlife Park

I am an avid day tripper and I absolutely love going to new places and seeing new things. So for my friends birthday we went to a tropical butterfly and wild life park.

Small but sweet it was a nice day out.

Safe to say I wanted to put a Meerkat in my handbag on the way home.

Check out a few of my snaps below!

Spectrum Collections 🦄

As I have described before I am like a makeup magpie. If it’s shiny, glittery and pretty I want it. So when I saw spectrum collection brushes I immediately wanted some.

Spectrum collections is a UK based brush brand who prides its self on not only the amazing colourful mermaid, unicorn inspired brushes but also being vegan and cruelty free. And as if that isn’t enough they are all hand made.

I have three full sets of these brushes. The Bombshell brushes which are the ultimate girly pink, the black marbleous brushes and the siren brushes which are mermaid ready.

I absolutely adore these brushes and they are all really well made and fabulously fit for their purpose.

And let’s face it, they are super pretty too!

They have so many more beautiful brushes for all the glam squad. Check them out Spectrum collections

Silicone Beauty Blender

So there was makeup brushes, the beauty blender and now the silisponges.

So naturally I had to give one a try.

I ordered one from hotnewyou on amazon ( I will tag the link below) and for £5.99 I didn’t have anything to lose.

Now I will admit I was slightly sceptical about how this would work.

However

I love mine so much I ordered another one.

I’ve found it’s best to apply the foundation to the silicone blender and then dab it on. I managed to get a perfect base with my foundation and concealer. It has taken some use to getting use to though.

But I love mine. I use less product, get a good coverage and it takes all of 30 seconds to wash.

Out with the beauty blender sponges and in with the silicone dabber!

Have any of you guys tried them? What do you think?

If you haven’t, it’s worth giving one a go.

Hi I am Sarah Kay. Coffee addict. Makeup addict. Shopaholic. Lover of all things shiny and glittery (and usually expensive).

You will often find me day dreaming or mulling things over a gigantic cup of coffee.
